How can you help?
Volunteers are the lifeblood of FFAMS and crucial to the organisation’s survival and growth. It is as a result of the time, commitment and effort of FFAMS volunteers that the peer support service, can be provided free of charge. As murder and suicide is indiscriminate,
FFAMs volunteers come from different backgrounds and have a variety of skills. Normal people with normal lives who, with support, are surviving the desolation and chaos left behind after a murder and suicide or suicidal behavior.
There are several volunteering roles within FFAMS that are key to us delivering our services.
- Helpline Operators
- Social Media
- Public Speakers
- Community Awareness Campaigners
FFAMS Volunteers will have access to a wide variety of Training Courses. The certificated training will be delivered in- house, or by one of our Working in Partnership organisations, including: SAMH – VANL – and Liber8
